Software Quality meets Continuous Delivery

Run by testers, for testers

TConf

We created TConf to bring industry leaders together, to share the challenges and solutions to complex quality problems in the industry. We have a strong desire to advance the Quality function. We believe in the importance of these fundamentals, a good software tester is also a good engineer, communicator, pragmatic thinker and above all problem solver.

We have removed all of the filler and packed a single day full of great topics, where you will not miss anything.

Keynote - Refactoring a quality culture for continuous delivery

When an organisation moves to continuous software delivery, there are many practice and culture challenges for those concerned with quality. In this talk I’d like to share some of the challenges we've had at SEEK, how we’ve tackled them and what we learned. Hopefully this may give you some ideas on how you may tackle similar issues you may be facing or give you an indication of the journey ahead if your organisation is moving towards continuous delivery.

A big data testing strategy to improve data quality

Big data is challenging, how we use data visualisation, mathematics and statistics to analyse Terabytes of data to find problems. What roles do QA play in big data implementations and tools and strategies we use.

Scott Clements
Owen Yan

Automation testing of mobile apps using Calabash

Any QA engineer in any project sooner or later reaches the point when it is necessary to automate the testing, no matter if it is a web or mobile application, Android or iOS. Automated security testing for continuous delivery

Testing the security of web applications is usually left to security engineers, or relegated to the oft-dreaded annual security audit. Why aren’t we testing our applications for vulnerabilities as we build them instead? In this talk, I will introduce a tool that can be included in your development and continuous integration workflows to test for security, bringing the worlds of software testing and security closer together.

Mike Jeffcott
Ray Hua
2:15-2:45
Continuous visual integration

A new practice that is converging in the industry, save testing time by seeing the visual impacts of your code changes continuously, instead of testing in the dark manually.
